More and more vulgar and harder to concentrate. In the USA, they analyzed Trump’s last public speeches

Trump stopped short of his monologue at the rally when he noticed a buzzing insect. “It’s a fly,” he said. “I wonder where the fly came from. Do you see? Two years ago, I wouldn’t even have a fly here on stage. Everything is changing fast, but we will not ignore it any longer!’

Sometimes it is difficult to understand him, sometimes he does not even finish the thought. Presidential candidate Donald Trump is bragging about a great day in Louisiana while the rally is taking place in Georgia. He speaks harshly against Joe Biden, who withdrew from the presidential race a long time ago. His claim that some migrants “eat cats and dogs” also raised concerns.

Often out of touch with reality

“The length of his speeches is currently around 82 minutes, while in 2016 it was 45 minutes,” says the author of the analysis, Peter Baker, who also wrote a book about the administration of ex-president Trump. Together with colleague Dylan Fredman, who is an expert in AI technology, they made a list of mistakes that happen more often than they are talked about. The videos they collected with their colleagues and live broadcast experts show that Trump is more forgetful, confused and often out of touch with reality.

According to the analysis, he mispronounces names and places with some regularity – “Charlottestown” instead of “Charlottesville”, “Minnianapolis” instead of “Minneapolis”, the website “Snoops” instead of “Snopes” and last but not least “Leon” Musk instead of “Elon”. He also stated that Venezuelan gangs are armed with MK-47s, by which he apparently meant AK-47s.

At one of his other rallies, Trump mentioned that the audience was on his side throughout the debate with Kamala Harris. But no audience participated in the debate.

Always and never

Claims that are so-called “flowing from the sleeve” are frequent and, according to the analysis, completely made up. His favorite words are “always” and “never”, which, according to experts, indicates the expression of politicians as they get older.

According to the analysis of Trump’s rally, there is anger and insults. Currently, he uses up to 32 percent more negative words than positive ones. In 2016, it was 21 percent. He uses swear words 69% more often than when he first ran for office.

“He lost the ability to put together meaningful sentences. He used to be an excellent communicator,” said Anthony Scaramucci, a former Trump associate. In these elections, he supported the candidate Kamala Harris. “The Trump campaign is now offering a buffet of word salads at a discount,” he added.

Trump recently claimed to have been named Michigan’s “man of the year,” although no such award exists, the study said.

“At times I really doubted whether he was mentally fit for this job,” his press spokeswoman evaluated Trump’s statements from the time before the attack on the Capitol in January 2021. According to her, he had lost his speed. “His latest speeches seem more confused. When he ran against Biden, it was not yet so clearly visible,” she said.

Trump’s speech is not so closely watched mainly because he is full of energy. On the contrary, the current president Joe Biden seems much more fragile. Nevertheless, his administration refuses to publish files on Trump’s health. The current director of Trump’s campaign, Steven Cheung, called Trump “the strongest and smartest candidate” and rejects the claim that Trump is getting weaker with age.

Trump himself protests against claims that he is “confused”. He is convinced that his opponents are hanging on every word. He calls his speaking style “interweaving” and claims it is a “deliberate and ingenious” communication strategy.
