Progress Rama of the LDK, the current mayor of Pristina, has declared victory in the capital. He thanked the citizens for the trust they gave him for another 4 years, while he asked for cooperation.
“Tonight is the holiday of our city, of hope, unity and democracy. Tonight we celebrate all the citizens of Pristina, regardless of belief, because the will for development, for unity and for citizenship has won”, said Rama to the party sympathizers..
He said that this is the victory of Pristina’s maturity “that Pristina develops only when we build it together, because Pristina belongs to everyone”.
“Today, the citizen who demands cooperation and not blockage wins. Democratic culture won, over the cult of the individual, the dignity, unity and political civilization of this city won. This is the biggest victory a capital can have“, Rama said.
He also greeted his opponent, Hajrulla Çeku, giving him a message. “I invite him to reflect with the spirit of citizenship. Prishtina needs cooperation, not blockade”, he said.
