Vučić annoyed Zakharova: Is there really only one Serbian president?

“When I read all the interviews of the Serbian president, I ask myself: Is there really only one president Vučić? Because I have the impression that the interviews are given by different people,” the Russian state agency TASS quotes Zakharova as worried.

According to her, Russia thought that “the export of Serbian-made ammunition is under strict control” and that “this production will not be delivered to Ukraine.”

Zakharova thus reacted to the words of the Serbian president, who declared that Serbia is not against Europe buying ammunition for Ukraine from the country. The Jevropejskaja pravda server reported about it this week.

“Ammunition is needed in Europe. That’s why I offered our friends in the EU the opportunity to conclude a purchase agreement with us and take everything we have. That would be a phenomenal contribution we can make to European security,” said Vučić in an interview with the German magazine Cicero.

When asked if he would mind that this ammunition would be supplied to Ukraine, he said that “buyers can do what they want with it”.

The Serbian president thus offered that Serbian ammunition can once again flow to Ukraine. This is a change compared to this June, when Vučić said that he was suspending all deliveries to Ukraine, as the Serbian army will receive them from then on.

“We have stopped literally everything, we are supplying our army,” Vučić’s statement from June 23 is quoted by Rádio Svobodná Evropa.

Serbia, as one of the few countries in Europe, has friendly relations with Russia. It does not impose sanctions on him, for example, and Vučić regularly flies to Moscow.
