Iranian hackers hacked the system of the ex-Chief of the Israeli General Staff. They publish photos and videos

“All your top secret facilities, crisis rooms, maps and even the smallest details of your command centers have long been like an open book to us,” the Handala hacking group linked to the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence said in a statement on its website. At the same time, she threatened that it was “only the beginning”.

She wrote that she obtained “more than 19 thousand confidential images and videos from the most secret meetings” in connection with Halevi.

“We have been quietly and invisibly in the system for years,” the hackers boast. So far, they have published dozens of photos and videos of Halevi inspecting military bases, meeting pilots, holding briefings and meetings, and working in his office.

Several private photos and videos of Halevi and his family were also released, as well as the identity cards of the former Israeli Chief of General Staff and his wife.

Resignation due to the attack on October 7

One video and photos show Halevi meeting his Jordanian counterpart, Major General Yusuf Haniti, in Jordan and handing him a dagger belonging to a Jordanian soldier who was killed in the Six-Day War in 1967, the Times of Israel website noted.

Other photos show Halevi in Qatar during a meeting with the former head of the US regional command CENTCOM, Michael Kurilla.

Halevi resigned from his position himself last year, citing the failure of the Israeli army, which under his leadership was unable to prevent the attack of the Palestinian terrorist movement Hamas on October 7, 2023.

Iranian hackers from the Handala group already announced last December that they had managed to break into the phone of Cachi Braverman, the head of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office. The Israeli side rejected it at the time, saying that it had not recorded any breakthrough.
