The International Balkan University (IBU), operating in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, will host an Iftar meal for its employees and students during the month of Ramadan.
IBU, which has 7 faculties and 26 departments, sets up an iftar table for 200 people every weekday on its campus in Skopje.
IBU Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar, in his statement to AA correspondent, stated that IBU, which has 3,200 students, 700 of whom are from Turkey, has been continuing its education activities since 2006.
Sunar said, “The International Balkan University will be one of the most important universities not only in North Macedonia but also in the Balkans and, God willing, in the near future, in Europe.”
Noting that Ramadan is the month of abundance and sharing, Rector Sunar noted the following:
“We are in the month of Ramadan. We have many students coming from abroad. We are having iftar with these students. We are living a family atmosphere with them without making them feel that they are abroad.”
