Police officers rushed to the wailing girl huddled on the sidewalk on Friday afternoon. “The girl knelt over the vomit, sobbed, couldn’t remember her name and wailed loudly during sudden seizures,” described the situation, police spokesman Jakub Ghanem.
The officers immediately called the paramedics and tried to find out if the girl drank alcohol, had any medicines or drugs. “In the end, she managed to describe that strange men offered her a cigarette with an unknown substance and she took it from them. A breath test confirmed that the girl did not drink alcohol. The paramedics thoroughly examined the girl and took her to the Children’s Hospital,” said the spokesperson.
“A 40-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were also standing by the wall near the place where the girl was writhing on the ground. When the police officers asked them why they did not provide the girl and call for help, the young woman replied that she was not going to discharge the battery in her phone because of her,” Ghanem added, adding that the police officers handed over the case, including the identity of the helpless couple, to the republican police.
