In the counting centers, the counting of the votes of the candidates for deputies in more than 80 percent of the polling stations has been completed. According to the preliminary results, the Vetëvendosje Movement leads with about 43 percent of the votes, where the candidate for prime minister of this party, Albin Kurti, received the largest number of over 190,000 votes.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo ranks second with 21 percent of the votes, where the president Bedri Hamza leads with over 96 thousand votes, the Democratic League of Kosovo is third with 18 percent of the votes.
So far, the candidate for president Vjosa Osmani counts over 63 thousand votes, where she leads with a difference of 5 thousand votes with the candidate for prime minister of this subject, Lumir Abdixhiku. The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo has received 7 percent of the votes, the president Ardin Gjini has received the support of over 33 thousand voters so far.
These data do not include conditional polling stations, voting by persons with special needs and voting from outside Kosovo, which have not yet been counted.
Meanwhile, the Central Election Commission has predicted that during the afternoon it will start counting votes from the diaspora, namely those registered who voted physically on June 6 in the 30 diplomatic missions of Kosovo abroad.
Out of 27 thousand 724 registered voters, about 81% of them exercised their right to vote, namely 22 thousand 414 citizens.
In parallel, the Central Election Commission continues with the verification of envelopes with ballots from outside Kosovo who voted by mail.
Based on the preliminary results, the Vetëvendosje Movement is expected to have 48 deputies, the PDK 24, the LDK 20 and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo 8 deputies in the new Assembly.
