While the campaign for the October 12 local elections has entered the last week, parties in Kosovo are supporting their candidates for mayors.
The head of the Vetevendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, called for Pristina to vote for the candidate of the political entity he runs, Hajrullah Ceku.
“The October 12 elections are a referendum on the future of the capital. The choice is simple: either for Pristina of stagnation, privatization and corruption, or for Pristina of equality, development and vision. The right choice is just one: Hajrulla Ceku,“Kurti said in his message.
Whereas the candidate of the Democratic League of Kosovo and the current mayor of Pristina, Perparim Rama, said that the capital of Kosovo is being transformed.
PDK candidate Uran Ismaili accused Rama that the reality in Pristina is quite different from the one that appears. “Citizens’ patience is over, the time has come for change,“He said.
Even the candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Besa Shahini, has pointed out the failures of Pristina’s local government under the leadership of Perparim Rama.
