Balkan Business Forum was held in Edirne

The “Balkan Business Forum” was organized by the Edirne Governorship Balkan Cities Business Association Edirne Platform. Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer said, “We will bring together 2,000 business people with a big fair in the fall. We aim to bring together our ministers of industry and trade in the Balkans and the presidents of chambers and exchanges in Turkey here.”

240 companies from the Balkans and Thrace participated in the Balkan Business Forum held in a restaurant today. Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer stated that business people who will invest in the city will be helped with bureaucratic procedures. Edirne Mayor Filiz Gencan Akın and Edirne Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Sezai Irmak also made speeches at the Balkan Business Forum.

“WE ARE WANTING BUREAUCRATIC WORKS”

Yunus Sezer said:

“We are trying to make this form permanent with the participation of good business people from the Balkans and Thrace. This is our beginning in terms of trade and industry. We are currently carrying it out with the participation of 240 companies. We will bring together 2 thousand business people with a big fair in the fall. We aim to gather our ministers of industry and trade in the Balkans and the presidents of chambers and stock exchanges in Turkey here. We have set a goal for ourselves. Let us undertake the bureaucracy related to trade and industry in the investments that our business people will make here, let us follow up on your behalf. We are willing to do all the bureaucratic work.”

“Türkiye IS FIRST IN PADDY AND SUNFLOWER PRODUCTION”

Edirne Mayor Filiz Gencan Akın noted the following:

“For centuries, Edirne has been a city where different cultures and beliefs have lived together freely and in brotherhood. Today, Edirne is an important center in terms of production and export, the western face of Turkey, with six border gates, two of which are railway and four are highway. Edirne, which ranks first in rice and sunflower production in Turkey, is an important agricultural production center and an important tourism center with over 6.5 million local and foreign visitors.”

Edirne Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Sezai Irmak said, “We are happy to see many familiar faces joining us from the Balkan countries today. This friendship of ours is based on the joint efforts we have made in the past to test the economic cooperation of our regions.”
