The scene was discreetly recorded by the mother of another child. Only the next day did she hand over the recording to the girl’s parents, whose lawyer published it on the Internet, causing outrage across France.
“The girl and her entire family are severely traumatized,” said lawyer Vanessa Edbergová, adding that she is preparing a criminal complaint against the teacher. “The child will need time to recover,” added the lawyer, adding that the little girl has not yet returned to kindergarten.
Meanwhile, the girl was examined by a general practitioner, who wrote in the report that the child was experiencing “serious psychological trauma”. “When he comes or goes, he doesn’t look people in the face. He refuses to talk about the teacher,” said the doctor.
Minister of Education Nicole Belloubet said that she was “extremely shocked” by the teacher’s actions. She suspended the teacher with immediate effect and ordered the initiation of disciplinary proceedings.

“Such images are unacceptable in our schools. The family has my full support, they are taken care of,” emphasized the minister.
According to Le Figaro, the mayor of the 15th arrondissement of Paris, Philippe Goujon, said that she was an experienced teacher. “He knows the kindergarten well, the parents and the children. She is a teacher who is over fifty, so she doesn’t usually get carried away by her emotions.”
Meanwhile, the teacher acknowledged her misconduct. “He deeply regrets what happened. She is in shock,” said her legal representative.
