Serbian leaders are suspicious of military cooperation between Albania, Kosovo and Croatia. Milorad Dodik has openly stated that this alliance between Zagreb, Tirana and Pristina is a direct threat to Republika Srpska. Through a message on social networks, he confirmed that the impact of this union of forces was discussed with concern at the meeting of his party.
Dodik clearly stated that “this alliance constitutes a real danger for their stability”, so he immediately called an urgent meeting with Serbian President Aleksandër Vucic.
The purpose of this table is to coordinate a common position and take strong decisions to protect Serbian interests. Even the member of the Defense Committee in Serbia, Srna Kovač, has supported this concern, describing the danger as something concrete. Kovač threw out the idea of a diplomatic response, declaring that “at this table we can also invite Hungary to line up on their side”.
Diplomatic tensions are rising rapidly as Serbian leaders seek to mobilize the so-called “Serbian World” against their neighbors. The whole move aims to stop what they call the expansion of the military influence of Albania and its allies in the region.
