The information was confirmed to Novinkám by the deputy chairman of the Pilsen District Court, Jan Špalek, and the father of the child, Marian. The editors know his full name, but due to the sensitivity of the case, they do not mention it. “It’s sad. We were decided by officials and people who don’t know us at all,” emphasized Marian. He wanted to take care of his daughter.
However, the court issued a so-called preliminary measure. It is used for acute cases when the child does not have proper care, his health and development are seriously threatened or have already been disturbed. “We complied with the request of the Child Social and Legal Protection Authority, which proposed temporary foster care,” stated the deputy chairman of the Pilsen District Court for Civil Matters.
He pointed out that the verdict is definitely not final. “According to the law, after three months it is necessary to re-examine whether there are still reasons for extending the proposal or not,” explained Špalek.
Criminal investigators are investigating the circumstances of the home birth. Criminal proceedings have already been initiated in the matter on suspicion of committing bodily harm due to negligence. They haven’t caught anyone in particular yet.
“Linda’s placenta did not come out”
The woman gave birth to a baby girl on the evening of September 8. “The birth was quick and beautiful. Everything went smoothly,” assessed Marian. According to him, there were also a doula and two female friends in the house as psychological support. “But Linda’s placenta did not come out. She had no more contractions. The assistant told her that the placenta would come out later. So we all went to sleep. “Evelínka has not yet been cut from the umbilical cord,” the man described. According to the Blesk.cz server, she was connected to her daughter by the umbilical cord for 12 hours.
But the following morning, things took an unprecedented turn. “Linda woke up and went to the toilet. She passed out in a moment. We patted her cheeks. Then she passed out again. And then she stopped breathing,” he continued.
They called paramedics, who took the patient to the hospital in critical condition. “I didn’t notice any complications. Neither does anyone else. And Linda didn’t even mention that she was sick. We are not rejecting medical help. But there was no indication that it would turn out like this,” Marian pointed out.
His partner died in a few days. “Doctors said she had a major postpartum injury and internal bleeding. The exact cause of death will be determined only by the autopsy,” he added.
He admitted on his Facebook profile that he had no money and asked for help. “I wanted to have a financial reserve because of Evelínec. We live life in the present. Our costs are only for food and energy,” the man explained.
Tragic home births evoke many emotions in society. In this case, however, emotions are not only evoked by a home birth with an unhappy ending. Marian turned his house in Plasy into a Fire Dragon center. And he provided background there to Lukáš Stančík, who is the founder of the religious movement Cesta světla or Life in the Heart. He declares about himself that God speaks through him. His message is an invitation to the “pure field of love”. “We are not a sect. Lukáš leads us to be free,” argued Marian.
“Linda was taken by a gray old woman”
He speaks of community members as family. It is about 20 people, about 12 of them live in the northern Pilsen area together. “I have always been an introvert and could not imagine living with strangers. But we have beautiful relations between us. We have not experienced such things even in our own families. We put the money together,” he outlined.
When his girlfriend died, Stančík confided in him about a strange image he saw. It featured a gray-haired woman, which is supposed to be, in simple terms, a demon attacking a woman. “Originally, she wanted a baby, but Linda made a pact within herself that she would rather marry her,” explained Marian.
He himself is said to have felt immediately after the birth of his daughter that his partner was absent in spirit. “The body was there, but her face changed. It was such a strange emptiness,” he compared. He attributed it to fatigue from childbirth. “But later it was confirmed to me that Linda was married to a gray-haired woman,” he added.
People generally reacted very negatively to his Facebook request for financial help. Some even wished him dead or urged him to finally find a job. “I have not worked for the last nine months. I made a living as an ajták. In addition, I also worked as an hourly husband and also gave massages,” he listed.
As he claims, recently he wanted to focus primarily on building the Fire Dragon center. “Our friends brought money, so we had something to work on. We live modestly. We started creating a joint project in our garage,” said Marian.
He will fight for his daughter
Stančík’s often rude, vulgar and aggressive speech is understandable: “Lukáš tells people things bluntly and in words that are unacceptable for society. He wants others to wake up and start doing something,” he said.
However, he does not approve of the physical violence to which Stančík confessed in one of his videos (editor’s note: he beat his partner to drive the gray-haired woman out of her). “I am against slaps and anything similar. I told Lukáš that if this happens again, we will no longer go on the same path,” he pointed out.
The short-term separation occurred when Stančík and his girlfriend moved away, but they both arrived in Plas some time ago. Marian strives for the return of little Evelina to the family. “I love her, I will take care of her and I will fight with all my might to get her. My two older sons also grew up with me and nothing threatened them,” he concluded.
