The drama took place last week on Friday evening, and footage from it was provided to the media by the AP news agency. The recording shows how a pair of visitors let themselves be shot in a steel lattice ball attached to a height on rubber ropes, so that it subsequently swayed in the air.
At one point, however, the adrenaline fun turned into horror when one of the ropes broke and the gondola plummeted uncontrollably from a height of 90 meters. She hit a support pole, which caused panic.
In addition to the two people inside the capsule, two witnesses under the structure also suffered unspecified injuries.
“Four people were slightly injured and treated on the spot. Rescue teams then took two of them, who were inside the gondola, to a medical center for a check-up,” confirmed the spokesperson of the Seville rescue system.
Firefighters immediately closed the attraction, while the police requested its technical documentation. “The investigation is still ongoing, the exact cause of the accident is not yet clear,” the police said.
