The emergency services at one of the shooting ranges in Znojmo intervened on Sunday afternoon. “We sent a medical and rescue team to the scene, provided pre-hospital emergency care and transported the patient to the hospital in critical condition,” rescue spokeswoman Michaela Bothová told Novinka on Monday.
According to the spokeswoman, it was a gunshot wound, but she refused to give further details due to the sensitivity of the case.
Due to the circumstances, the police also did not want to disclose any details. “We are investigating a gunshot wound at the shooting range in Znojmo, which occurred over the weekend. We are investigating the causes and circumstances of the injury,” said police spokesman Bohumil Malášek.
According to Novinek, a fifteen-year-old girl who was at the scene with her parents was injured. Under what circumstances the incident occurred and how it took place, or what preceded it, is not yet clear.
