“My partner called me around 6:20 that they collided with a passenger train. She was sitting in the second or third car. She said that it was a huge blow, the phone flew out of her hand and then she mainly remembers the windows being smashed and the injured,” Tomáš told Novinka, who wanted to pick up his girl at the scene of the accident.
He stated that the girlfriend’s tongue was bitten, her knees were scraped. “For the people who were sitting a little further away, a helicopter arrived and paramedics took them away on a stretcher,” Tomáš described, adding that he was really worried about his girlfriend, who was taking the express train to Pilsen in the morning.
“I immediately left work and drove out. Now I learned that my girlfriend will be transported by bus to the intervention center of the South Bohemian firefighters,” he explained. He will then be able to pick it up there.
On Thursday, the luckier ones who did not suffer injuries that would require transportation to the hospital left the bus from the accident. In the intervention center on Pražská Street, they should still be examined by a doctor, according to Novinek.
