Anti-smuggling units of the Kosovo Customs, in the early hours of the morning, stopped a bus on the “Ibrahim Rugova” highway, which was traveling from Albania to Kosovo without passengers. The vehicle has been accompanied for detailed control at the Customs facilities in Pristina.
After the inspection, Customs has discovered about 120 kilograms of cannabis-type narcotics, reports Kosova Press.
According to the Customs announcement, during the inspection, where professional equipment provided by US Government programs was used, including the recently donated scanner, as well as sniffer dogs donated by the German organization GIZ – an amount of about 120 kilograms of cannabis narcotics was discovered.
The case has been handed over to the Anti-Drug Units of the Kosovo Police for further criminal procedures and actions.
Finally, Kosovo Customs emphasizes that it remains committed to the fight against smuggling and organized crime, increasing cooperation with local and international partners to guarantee security and the rule of law.
