“After coming home, he allegedly had a conflict with his mother, according to him, the argument escalated and ended with him being kicked out of the apartment. He was afraid that the dispute would continue when he returned,” said Jana Pužmanová, spokeswoman for the city police. “However, it was already obvious during the first contact that the boy was not sober. The breath test showed a value of 2.26 per thousand,” pointed out Pužmanová.
Where he came to alcohol as a minor, he explained in different ways. “He first mentioned a nearby convenience store, then turned around – he allegedly took the alcohol at home from his mother’s stock. Later, he described that he only had three beers, and finally admitted to shots of hard liquor,” stated Pužmanová.
The officers escorted the teenager to the door of the apartment. His mother opened the door and described the course of Saturday evening quite differently. “According to her words, the son came home already quite drunk after previous drinking with his friends, burst into her room and started an argument,” Pužmanová said, adding: “Then he left the apartment saying he was going to call the police because he didn’t like his mother’s behavior and thought she was more drunk than him.” However, he was wrong about that – the woman inhaled 1.26 per thousand.
The state police, who were called in and took over the case, had the last word.
