Four units of professional and volunteer firefighters responded to the scene.
“When they arrived, the entire barn was in flames. In addition to extinguishing it, we also cooled the neighboring family house with water jets so that the fire did not spread to it,” fire department spokesman Petr Běhal told Novinkám.
According to him, the firefighters had to intervene to use breathing techniques. “We used height equipment to dismantle the roof,” stated Běhal.
The damage caused by the fire will be in the order of hundreds of thousands of crowns. “However, it should not exceed one million crowns,” added the spokesman for the fire department, adding that the cause of the fire is being investigated.
