A man threatened a bomb at a government office, the police arrested him in Mělník

He should have one weapon in his legal possession, which has been reported as lost, said Vlasta Suchánková, spokeswoman for the Central Bohemian Police.

The police received notification of the incident at 4:20 p.m. “An unknown man threatened by phone to place explosives in the building. Within 40 minutes, the police located the caller and immediately both patrols and the police commander started negotiations with him at the place of residence, because he kept threatening and did not want to leave the apartment,” said Suchánková.

After half an hour of negotiations, the man surrendered to the police and left the apartment before the arrival of the emergency unit. “Currently, he should be in the care of the emergency services,” the spokeswoman added.
