Kosovo authorizes the sending of the KSF to Gaza – Haxhiu signs the decision for a peacekeeping mission
The Acting President of the State, Albulena Haxhiu, today authorized the sending of the Kosovo Security Force to an international peacekeeping operation, as part of the International Stabilization Force in Gaza, after on Friday 89 MPs said yes to the sending of the Kosovo Army there.
Haxhiu says that the decision reflects a Kosovo that understands security as an obligation to its citizens and as a responsibility to international peace and order.
“After approval by the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, today I authorized the deployment of the Kosovo Security Force in an international peacekeeping operation, as part of the International Stabilization Force in Gaza. This decision reflects a Kosovo that understands security as an obligation to its citizens and as a responsibility to international peace and order“, she wrote.
Furthermore, Haxhiu, as acting president, says that from a country that once needed the support of others, Kosovo today takes responsibility and contributes to the international scene.
“The Kosovo Security Force is an institution built with professionalism and high standards, ready to serve alongside our strategic partners. Participation in such missions proves the state maturity of our Republic and the country that Kosovo is strengthening every day in the international arena“, Haxhiu said.
