We will soon publish interesting documents about UFOs, said Trump

“As you will recall, I recently directed the Secretary of Defense to begin releasing government files regarding UFOs and unexplained aerial phenomena,” Trump said during Friday’s Turning Point USA event in Phoenix. “This process is in full swing and I must say that we have found many very interesting documents and their publication will begin very, very soon,” the president continued.

Trump’s comments come amid increasing pressure from Congress to release files related to unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP). The Pentagon has not yet indicated what these documents might contain.

Trump announced in February that he had ordered Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and other agency officials to begin reviewing government files related to “alien life.”

The February announcement came days after former President Barack Obama made comments on a podcast that aliens were real. Shortly after his speech, Obama clarified that what he meant was that “there’s a good chance there’s life out there,” and that he hadn’t actually seen any evidence of alien life during his time in the White House.

“The continued lack of transparency regarding these anomalies and the potential national security threat they pose is troubling,” Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Lunová said in her March letter, according to NBC News.

The Pentagon said in 2024 that it had received hundreds of reports of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) after a public hearing, of which 21 showed unusual characteristics and merited further analysis, but none provided evidence of extraterrestrial life.

At the same time, a report from March 2024 stated that there is no credible evidence that US authorities have concealed findings confirming the existence of extraterrestrials, with most sightings explained as misidentifications of common objects or natural phenomena.
