Israelis scare Iranian policemen on the phone

The American-Israeli strikes significantly damaged the morale of rank-and-file members of the security forces and forced many of their representatives to sleep in their cars, in mosques or sports facilities. Or they move to civilian houses, from where their inhabitants flee for fear of airstrikes.

The Israeli secret service is trying to take advantage of this situation and dismantle the Iranian system by all available means. Mossad agents, for example, call regime officials and threaten them with death, the Wall Street Journal reports. The diary also includes a transcript of an interview the agent had with a high-ranking police commander.

At the beginning, the agent can be heard asking in Persian: “Can you hear me?” and continues: “We know everything about you. You are on our blacklist and we have all the information about you.” The policeman, obviously surprised, only answers briefly “OK”. Then, according to the diary, the Mossad agent can be heard again: “I’m calling to warn you. You should stand by your nation. And if you don’t, your fate will be the same as that of your leader.” He alludes to the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The Iranian police commander insists on the phone: “Brother, I swear on the Koran, I am not your enemy!” Then he says, “I’m already a dead man. Please come and help us.” It is not clear whether the man is really on the side of Israel and criticizing the Iranian regime – or whether it is just an evasive maneuver to save his life. The threats are certainly not idle.
