The MP of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Driton Hyseni, thinks that President Vjosa Osmani is in full sync with the opposition parties, calling it a well-organized scenario. in an interview for KosovaPress, Vetëvendosja proved to Vjosa Osmani that they did not have the votes to guarantee him another mandate at the head of the country.
“The opposition parties that are synchronized with the president to immediately come out to support the decree, to immediately make the same interpretation of what the Constitutional Court foresees, I think that here we are dealing with a, I would not like to call it, but it seems with a well-synchronized scenario that we need to move, create a momentum. It is clearly observed that we have some synchronization, a synchronized scenario between the opposition political forces in the interpretation of the constitution, even adding text beyond what article 82 says in point three, but also giving a very strong support to president Vjosa Osmani in her statements and in her frustration that it is up to her because Vetëvendosje did not support her.”
According to him, Prime Minister Albin Kurti has kept his promises with Vjosa Osmani, after making her president for the 2021-2026 term, and her non-candidacy for president has nothing to do with any kind of betrayal or conspiracy.
The deputy of the Vetëvendosje Movement welcomes the temporary measure on the decree of President Vjosa Osmani, but considers it unnecessary to suspend the work of the Assembly. In addition, he says that the Constitutionalist should focus more on quick and meaningful decision-making and ignore the pressures from each side.
