Political stalemate in Kosovo – AAK: The country is on the verge of collapse. LDK calls for unification

“Kosovo is in the most serious crisis after independence”. This is what the head of the AAK Parliamentary Group, Besnik Tahiri, said, after the Assembly failed to elect a new president and the president decreed the dissolution of the Assembly, while politics awaits the decision of the Constitutional Court on these issues. He accused the Vetëvendosje Movement of not being able to make the state functional.

“Today, Kosovo is under blockade while the government is dysfunctional, the state is dysfunctional. The economy is on the verge of collapse. Consumer prices for citizens and families have reached a stage where they are unaffordable for living,” said Besnik Tahiri, Head of the AAK Parliamentary Group.

Tahiri expressed his conviction that the decree of President Osmani on the dissolution of the Assembly is constitutional, while he criticized the attacks on that Court by exponents of the Vetëvendosje Movement. The AAK deputy said that the opposition should not be afraid to unite on a platform in case of new elections. Another call came from the chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku.

“Time calls for the union of institutionalists, supporters of the Republic and all travelers of the Euro-Atlantic road. They all have a common home, the Democratic League of Kosovo”, said Lumir Abdixhiku, Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo.

Abdixhiku emphasized that the ongoing political crises and internal clashes are damaging the country, stressing that Kosovo needs a new political approach that unites society, stabilizes institutional life and strengthens its orientation towards the West.
