Kurti telephone conversation with the Kosovo Commissioner: EU integration, a key priority of the Kosovo government

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, had a telephone conversation with the Commissioner for Enlargement of the European Union, Marta Kos.

The focus of the talks between them was the expansion of the EU and the progress of reforms in Kosovo with the aim of European integration.

According to the announcement of the Prime Minister’s Office, it should be noted that EU integration remains a key priority of the Kosovo government.

“The Prime Minister underlined the importance of obtaining candidate status as an important step for membership in the European Union”the announcement states.

In the same place, it is said that Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that among the first decisions of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, in addition to the approval of the new budget in the amount of 4 billion euros, was the approval of the Growth Plan in the amount of 882.6 million euros, which aims to accelerate reforms and the economic development of the country.

Kurti and Kos, it is known, also spoke about the current developments in the country and in the region, recalling the fact that Kosovo is fully harmonized with the foreign and security policy of the European Union and has joined the EU sanctions package against Russia, in response to its war of aggression against Ukraine.
