Peleshi: Our immigrants in Greece and the Greek minority, safe bridges of friendship and cooperation

The Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, received today in a meeting the ambassador of Greece to Albania, Lamprini Komini.

During the conversation, the high level of bilateral relations between the two countries was evaluated, as well as the cooperation within NATO and the joint efforts to maintain peace.

In a reaction on social networks, Peleshi emphasized the role of Greece as a strategic partner and firm supporter of Albania’s membership in the European Union.

“Greece is a neighboring country, a friend of Albania. It is our partner in NATO and in contributions to the protection of peace, as well as a firm supporter of our membership in the EU”, emphasized Peleshi.

He added that historical and cultural ties, as well as the role of Albanian immigrants in Greece and the Greek minority in Albania, create stable bridges of cooperation and friendship between the two peoples.

“We are connected to Greece not only by the close historical past and deep cultural similarities. Albanian immigrants in Greece and the Greek minority in Albania also constitute safe bridges of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and our peoples for today and tomorrow,” Peleshi underlined.
