Kağıthane Mayor Mevlüt Öztekin met with representatives and citizens from the Balkan countries at the iftar program held in Prizren, Kosovo, within the scope of the Ramadan programs organized in the Balkans.
Within the scope of his contacts in the Balkans, President Öztekin first attended the iftar program held in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. After the program, Öztekin went to Prizren, Kosovo, and shared the same table with local administrators, civil society representatives and citizens in the region at the iftar organization held there. Prizren Deputy Mayor Furkan Bütüç, opinion leader Hacı İlyas Uka, Kosovo Women’s Solidarity Association President Mayda Kurt, Kosovo Veterans Association representatives and many citizens attended the iftar program.
Speaking at the program, Kağıthane Mayor Mevlüt Öztekin drew attention to the importance of the bond between the Balkans and Turkey and said, “We are happy to meet our Rumelian citizens in the Balkans at the same table within the scope of our Ramadan programs.
