Warm and sunny. The tasting of spring will be hindered in some places by fogs

The weather in Central Europe will be affected by a large high pressure area, and warm air originating from North Africa will flow into the Czech Republic throughout the week. This anticyclone will completely block the advance of all Atlantic frontal systems with precipitation, so a dry period awaits us.

In addition to above-average high temperatures in the upper atmosphere, the southerly flow also transports smaller amounts of Saharan dust particles from ongoing sand storms over Africa. Especially in the second half of the week, we have to expect slightly cloudy skies and reduced visibility.

An extensive high pressure will ensure sunny weather throughout Central Europe.

The afternoon highs will depend on the speed of the morning fogs and low inversion clouds. These will form mainly in the western and northwestern half of Bohemia, but the March sun rays already have enough power to dissolve them. Until the afternoon, the inversion will last only exceptionally, namely in the area of Polabí and Poohří.

In sunny places, where the sky will be clear from the morning, we will measure the highest afternoon temperatures up to around 15 °C in spring. On the other hand, in locations where air heating is inhibited by low cloud cover or fog, the mercury in the thermometer only reaches values of around 7 °C.

V Monday it will be almost clear to partly clear, fogs and low clouds will form in the morning, especially in Bohemia, which will dissolve by lunchtime in most places. Cloudy skies can remain throughout the day only in the Podkrušnohoří region and in Polabí. The morning lows will drop to 2 to -2 °C and in the afternoon we will measure from 8 to 12 °C, in places with cloudy skies it will remain around 6 °C. There will be a weak variable wind.

Fogs and low clouds will form more often in Bohemia than in Moravia.

Tuesday will offer a clear or almost clear sky again. In the morning, low inversion clouds will form in the western half of Bohemia and in Polabí, which will largely dissolve during the morning and can last all day only in the northwestern part of Bohemia in the Podkrušnohoří region. The morning lows will be around 0 °C and in the afternoon the thermometer will show between 11 and 15 °C, with cloudy skies only around 7 °C. There will be a weak southerly wind.
