A photography exhibition with the theme “Balkans in the Star Albums of Sultan Abdulhamid II” was opened in Edirne.
At the exhibition held at Edirne Social Sciences High School, 220 photographs in the book of the same name prepared by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities were presented to the visitors.
The exhibition, which was visited with interest by students and teachers, provides the opportunity to see the Balkan geography from the perspective of Sultan Abdulhamid II.
Photographs selected from a wide region from Albania to Romania, from Kosovo to Greece, shed light on the 19th century Balkan social and cultural life by documenting many cultural elements such as mosques, fountains, Turkish houses, barracks, lodges and madrasahs.
