The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, speaking about the conversation between her, Prime Minister Edi Rama and American President Donald Trump during the Peace Council meeting in Washington, stated that they discussed the issue of The Hague and the 4 former leaders of the KLA, for whom the Special Prosecutor’s Office has requested a sentence of 45 years in prison.
Osmani was reserved about the discussion with Trump, but in an interview for the “Rubikon” show on Klan Kosova, he announced that together with the Prime Minister of Albania, they will provide more details when the moment comes about that issue.
“We have discussed. I would ask for your understanding. I do not believe that it is in the interest of Kosovo if we give more details about this. However, I want to ensure that we have discussed both topics and received strong guarantees.” – said Osmani.
After the first meeting of the Peace Board in Washington, the president said that Kosovo felt the weight of the American guarantee.
