“There were two explosions and the second occurred after the emergency services arrived at the scene. 25 people were injured. Tragically, one person was killed – a 23-year-old policewoman. My sincere condolences to her family and loved ones. All the injured are receiving help. Some are in serious condition and doctors are doing everything to save lives,” said Zelensky in an evening statement.
The explosion occurred near the Magnus shopping center in the center of Lviv, which is located in the west of Ukraine. The prosecutor’s office stated earlier that the police went to the scene because someone reported a break-in to the store. After the patrol arrived at the scene, another explosion was heard.

Consequences of the explosion in Lviv
Several people were arrested after the crime. Zelenskyj stated in the evening that a number of facts had already been established.
“The perpetrators were recruited through Telegram. The attack was organized by Russia,” he said, ordering the development of measures and procedures that would prevent similar events.
Russia has been invading Ukraine for four years, where it repeatedly targets civilian targets during attacks.
“We have intelligence that indicates that the Russians intend to continue such actions,” Zelenskyi commented on the attack in Lviv.
