The Assembly of Kosovo has approved, in an extraordinary session, the changes in the Draft Law on the amendment and completion of the Law on Specialized Chambers and the Office of the Specialized Prosecutor.
The vote on the changes in the law for the Specialized Chambers, known as the Special, came after the proposal of Prime Minister Albin Kurti to change the law, in the framework of developments related to the election of the new president of Kosovo.
After reaching a political agreement on the voting of changes to the Special Law and the process of electing the president, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, shook hands in the Assembly.
The changes in the law were voted in an extraordinary session of the Assembly, while then the procedure for the election of the president of the Republic of Kosovo continued.
