The Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Xhelal Sveçla, the director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (KIA), Petrit Ajeti, and the Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, have visited this Tuesday the village of Kalludër e Vogël in Zubin Potok, where excavations are continuing in a location where a mass grave is suspected to be located.
According to the authorities, mortal remains and clothes suspected to belong to 23 intellectuals from Mitrovica, who disappeared during the war in Kosovo, were found at the scene.
After the visit, Minister Sveçla stated that the discovery of the location is the result of intensive work by security institutions and cooperation with citizens.
“After intensive work by the security institutions, but also cooperation with citizens, we have discovered a mass cemetery with the remains of our citizens. The intensive work is continuing in several directions, both in terms of excavations and in the investigation, to discover all those who are guilty and responsible. We will not stop until the last body of the missing person is found”, said Sveçla.
He emphasized that the institutions of Kosovo will continue their commitment to find out the fate of the persons who disappeared violently during the war, as well as to bring to justice all those responsible for these crimes.
Excavations in Kalludër i Vogël are being carried out by competent teams, while investigations continue to identify the victims and fully document the case.
A day ago, the Kosovo Police arrested two people suspected of involvement in the disappearance of 23 intellectuals from Mitrovica during the war.
