Historical Journey from Rome to Istanbul by Bicycle

Adriano Tegas, who traveled from Rome to Istanbul by bicycle following the Via Egnatia route, one of the most important military and commercial routes of the Roman Empire in the Balkans, was hosted in Keşan.

According to the statement made by Keşan Municipality, Tegas visited Keşan Municipality with members of the Nature, Environment and Culture Association (DOÇEK) and gave information about his journey on the historical route.

During the visit, a special road commemorative document signed by local governments and institutions in the cities where Tegas passes was signed and sealed at the municipality.

It was stated that the document symbolizes the historical heritage of Via Egnatia, which connects different cultures and cities.

Authorities wished success to Tegas, who continues his historical journey from Rome to Istanbul, and hoped that he would leave Keşan with good memories.
