“The legal conditions for filing a motion for a conditional suspension of prosecution have been met. The general conditions include, for example, that the accused confessed to the crime, showed remorse, compensated for the damage caused, or entered into an agreement with the victims,” Stránský said without further details.
The incident at the school, which is located in the premises of the cultural center Médium, occurred on Thursday, November 20. It was not an explosion, said the firemen on the X network. The fire was extinguished before their arrival.
As the police later stated, the woman performed a chemical experiment in the room, the so-called Pharaoh’s snakes, which took place at several stations. In one of the attempts, the expected reaction did not occur, so the woman tried to repeat the attempt, while, according to the police, she did not follow the conditions and instructions of the manufacturer of the flammable liquid.
During the filling of one of the substances, an explosive fire occurred, with the subsequent spraying of the substance from the neck of the bottle, which splashed two minor girls standing nearby, causing severe burns. One adult was treated on the spot, two children under the age of ten were taken to hospital.
Due to the age of the injured, medical professionals did not comment on the extent of their injuries. Both girls were originally supposed to be airlifted to burn centers in Prague and Brno, but in the end, due to the weather, one of the children was transported to the nearby university hospital in Hradec Králové.
