Gasoline will thus be able to be sold on Thursday 14 halers more expensive than on Wednesday, while diesel will be 25 halers cheaper. The Ministry of Finance announces the ceilings in the price journal.
“The Ministry of Finance calls on gas station operators to approach the maximum permissible prices only in exceptional cases and to try to keep the price level below the set limit,” the Ministry of Finance emphasized on its website.
Fuel prices began to rise rapidly after the American and Israeli attack on Iran at the turn of February and March, especially after Tehran blocked the key Strait of Hormuz, through which about a fifth of the world’s oil and gas supplies normally pass.
Brent North Sea oil reached 107 dollars per barrel (2,215 crowns) on Wednesday morning, while the American West Texas Intermediate (WTI) light oil reached 101 dollars per barrel (2,091 crowns) in the same period.
