The EU prepares the work plan for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Sorensen meets the chief negotiators

Separate meetings were held in Brussels this week between the EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, Peter Sorensen, and the chief negotiators of Kosovo and Serbia, as part of the preparations for the continuation of the dialogue for the normalization of relations.

Sorensen stated that the discussions focused on defining the work plan for the coming months within the dialogue process.

Meanwhile, the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, said that frequent election cycles in Kosovo were the main reason why a new round of dialogue at the level of leaders has not been held.

We are actually planning the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, a high-level political dialogue. We had the agreement of both leaders, but now the elections in Kosovo are approaching again, which delays the process. However, I am working separately with both parties so that we can continue to implement the agreements that are already in placeKallas said.
