A supermajority in the 199-member parliament was needed to be elected. The Tisza party has a constitutional majority of 141 seats in the new parliament. After being elected as prime minister, Magyar took the constitutional oath.
Before the founding meeting, there was an idea that the St. Stephen’s crown should be moved to the meeting hall of the parliament for the solemn promise, but the so-called In the end, the Council of the Holy Crown did not approve this proposal.
Several hymns and songs were sung at the founding meeting. The Hungarian national anthem was followed by the Sikulian anthem and the anthem of the European Union.
The song Zöld az erdő (The forest is green), which is considered an unofficial Roma anthem, was performed by a children’s ensemble from the village of Sükösd in the parliament for the first time in history. At the end, the folk song Tavaszi għal vizet áraszt (Spring wind raises the water) was also heard, which accompanied all pre-election rallies of the Tisza party.
