According to the CEC, the announcement by registered political parties of participation or non-participation in the elections and the formation of coalitions is a different process from the application for certification of new political entities and the submission of the list of candidates for deputies.

According to the spokesperson of the CEC, Valmir Elezit, the deadline for applying for certification of new political entities (coalitions, citizen initiatives and independent candidates) started on May 2 and will end on May 10. According to the Law on General Elections, the political party is considered automatically certified, so this process will only apply to new political entities, which in this case are coalitions, citizen initiatives and independent candidates.

Meanwhile, according to him, the submission of the list of candidates for MPs from political entities (political parties, coalitions, civic initiatives and independent candidates) started on May 2 and will end on May 12, 2026. /Kosovapress/
