Vucic: We are ready for war, but we want peace

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has issued a strong statement regarding the security situation and relations with Kosovo.

During his speech, he emphasized that the country has much greater defense capacities than during the NATO bombing period in 1999.

According to the Serbian head of state, economic growth has enabled massive investments in the defense sector and the purchase of modern weapons.

“Today we are much stronger and for this very reason no one dares to attack us,” he said in a boastful tone.

Vucic also revealed that the army has secured advanced equipment from Israel, significantly increasing combat readiness. Although he stated that Serbia already has the necessary means for war, he hastened to clarify that his goal remains stability.

The President underlined that he has promised the citizens peace and development, so he has no intention of leading the country towards an armed conflict.

Regarding the issue of Kosovo, he admitted that this topic has returned forcefully to the table of international discussions.

This statement comes at a time of tension, where military force is often used as a means of pressure in political statements.
