The electoral campaign for the second round of the November 9 elections, which will be held in 18 municipalities in Kosovo, starts today (October 3).
The CEC announced that the election campaign will last up to six days, until the opening of the voting centers, on November 9 at 07:00.
The second round of elections for mayors will take place in 18 municipalities where none of the candidates could secure more than 50% of the necessary votes, specifically in: Gjakovë, Gjilan, Dragash, Kaçanik, Klinë, Fushë Kosovë, Mitrovica e Juguto, Obiliq, Rahovec, Pejë, Prishtinë, Prizren, Suharekë, Viti, Vushtrri, Junik, Mamushë and Kllokot.
Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) leads with the largest number of runoff contests, followed by LDK, PDK, AAK and Lista Serbe. The Vetëvendosje movement won the race without a runoff in three municipalities, Podujevë, Kamenica and Shtime, and is going to a runoff in 12 others. LDK competes in 9 municipalities in the run-off, PDK competes in 6 municipalities in the run-off, AAK competes in 5 municipalities in the run-off, while Lista Serbe scored a victory in 9 municipalities inhabited by Serb majority, while in Kllokot it led, but went to the run-off with the Serbian National Unity.
