Bekim Sejdiu, born in 1974, is a former judge of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo. Since 2002 he is a Professor of Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Pristina.
The 52-year-old has a long experience in diplomacy, having served as the first ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in Turkey from 2008 to 2012, and then, from 2012 to 2014, he was the Consul General of Kosovo in New York.
Before being appointed to that post, Sejdiu served as a political advisor in the cabinet of the first minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo.
He completed his law studies at the University of Pristina, while he attended postgraduate studies in the field of international relations, democracy and human rights.
