“If Brussels wants to continue to punish us, it will get what it wants. We will transport the migrants who are banging on Hungary’s gate to Brussels’ main square,” said Orbán.
The Hungarian Prime Minister pointed out that Germany has already introduced border controls, and the Netherlands and the new French Prime Minister Michel Barnier are also talking about restoring order at their borders.
“The era of free travel in Europe is coming to an end, although all that should have been done was to follow the Hungarian example and not let migrants in,” said Orbán, according to the MTI agency.

The head of the Hungarian government expressed his regret over the fact that violent attacks are becoming more frequent in Germany and England. “Unfortunate conditions prevail in many western cities. We are not happy that we were right. It’s not too late to come to our senses, but now it’s fashionable that those who protect their borders, those who speak the truth, are persecuted and punished,” said Orbán.
“Hungary must pay for protecting Europe,” added the Hungarian Prime Minister.
He was probably referring to the fact that Hungary built a fence on the border with Serbia at the height of the migration crisis, which is guarded by soldiers and policemen.
According to Orbán, Budapest is also right about the war in Ukraine. “War has no solution on the battlefield, there are only victims, suffering and destruction. It’s time for a ceasefire, negotiations and peace,” Orbán emphasized several times.
“The West got involved in the Russian-Ukrainian war based on miscalculations and bad strategy. The situation is getting worse, the fighting is not abating, but expanding,” stated the Prime Minister of Hungary.
