Last year’s championship was dominated by one of the biggest favorites, the Englishman Luke Humphries, and became world number one for the first time in his career. However, his compatriot and final opponent drew the most attention. At that time, only 16-year-old mega-talent Luke Littler won the runner-up title at his first world championship and threw away an invitation to the prestigious Premier League.
Together with Humphries and Littler, Dutchman Michael van Gerwen, Scotsman Gary Anderson and Englishman Michael Smith will be among the big favorites in London’s Alexandra Palace. Almost anyone from the world’s top players can surprise. The Czech representative Karel Sedláček will not be missing either, the second Czech with a professional PDC card Adam Gawlas will play in the qualification to participate in the championship.
2025 World Darts Program
The first three rounds will take place over the course of two weeks from Friday 15th to Friday 29th December. Friday and Saturday’s round of 16 will follow. After a day’s break, matches of the best eight archers will take place on New Year’s Day.

Prize money
Again, a very rich prize pool worth 2.5 million pounds is prepared for the participants of the championship. Dart players do not earn more at any other tournament of the year. The overall winner will receive half a million pounds, which translates to just over 15 million CZK.
