The spokesperson of the Central Election Commission in Kosovo, Valmir Elezi, announced that the examination of all applications for registration of voters abroad who want to participate in the early parliamentary elections of June 7 has been completed.
According to him, out of 142 thousand 803 requests for registration received by LLC, 131 thousand 800 applications were approved, while about 11 thousand of them were rejected and 96 others were cancelled. Elezi emphasized that voting by mail is the most preferred way of voting by the Kosovo diaspora.
The spokesperson of the CEC also announced that voting by mail starts on May 25 and ends on June 6. While one day before the June 7 elections, voting will take place in Kosovo’s diplomatic missions around the world.
A day ago, the CEC published the lists of 902 certified candidates for deputies of 21 political entities.
The certified candidates represent 17 political parties, 3 coalitions and 1 independent candidate. The early elections of June 7 are held after the failure of the Assembly of Kosovo to elect the new president of the country.
