Voting by mail from the Kosovo Disport launches, the CEC will for the first time send you by mail packages with ballots

While Kosovo prepares for the October 12 local elections, the Central Election Commission has undertaken for the first time about 44,000 voters enrolled abroad to send them through the posts of ballots through which they may exercise the right to vote. The process began on September 17 and lasts until October 11th.

The day after the start of the Kosovo Diaspora Voting process, Central Election Commission spokesman Valmir Elezi stated that for the first time voters registered to participate in the voting will be sent by two -ballot packages.

“The CEC aims to conclude the process of sending packets with ballots for about 44,000 voters enrolled abroad to vote through the local elections within a week. It is the first time the CEC has given itself the task of subscribing to vote by mail, sending it by two ballots:“, Said the CEC spokesman in Kosovo, Valmir Elezi.

According to the latter, although voters outside Kosovo do not have ballots with ballots at the time of the start of the vote, the deadline for voting, which lasts until October 11, is sufficient, as the CEC has opened the mailboxes in dozens of countries around the world.

“We appreciate that the deadline set by the CEC for voting outside Kosovo by mail is sufficient. There are more than 20 days available to Kosovo citizens, ie voters to send their package with ballots to any of the mailboxes that the CEC has opened in 23 different countries, including Kosovo”Elezi stated.

The mail voting service is expected to be held for 43,933 Kosovo citizens, who applied and registered to vote in the elections for mayors and municipal assemblies. The Central Election Commission announced the day before that about 34% of the ballots have been processed so far.
