Two weeks deadline for the election of the President of Kosovo, Kurti: We are in consultation with the opposition

As two weeks remain from the deadline set by the Constitutional Court for the election of the president, there are still no signs of an agreement between the political parties.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, asked by the media if meetings are expected this week on this issue, gave a short answer, without going into details.

“We are in consultation with the leaders of the opposition parties; when there are results, we will inform you”, declared Kurti.

Meanwhile, the Constitutional Court has determined, through a judgment, April 28 as the final deadline for the election of the president.

If the election of the president is not achieved by then, the Assembly will be automatically dissolved and the country will go to new elections, which must be held within 45 days.
