Hoxhaj said that Kosovo is facing a major political and social crossroads, stressing the need for, as he put it, “political maturity and political vision” to overcome the situation.
He said that he had followed the court process closely and that what had happened in court was unexpected for him.

Hoxhaj described this period as “a day of mourning for Kosovo”, while expressing the hope that the process will end with a decision of innocence in the second degree.
The PDK deputy also focused on the role of the KLA in the Kosovo war, describing it as an allied force and partner of NATO. According to him, the road to Kosovo’s independence has been a political and diplomatic process led by the West.

Following this, Hoxhaj said that after the end of the armed war in 1999, another confrontation started, according to him, which he described as a “special war against Kosovo”.
“With our victory in the armed war with the support of NATO, with the liberation of Kosovo, and with the placement of Kosovo under the administration of the UN, a special war against Kosovo has begun. The armed war ended in 1999, after that a special war began against the idea of Kosovo being independent.“, said Hoxhaj.
