The Trakya University delegation visited the Turkish Ambassador to Bucharest, Özgür Kıvanç Altan.
According to the statement made by the university, Trakya University Rector Prof. Dr. Tabakoğlu gave information about the activities and targeted collaborations carried out by Trakya University in line with the Balkans mission and vision during the visit.
Tabakoğlu also gave information about the Balkan Universities Union and underlined that this union is very valuable in terms of producing solutions to the problems of the Balkans and contributing to its development.
Tekirdağ Health Director Ali Cengiz Kalkan accompanied the delegation consisting of Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Hatipoğlu and Trakya University External Relations Advisor Kamil Kolabaş.
Tabakoğlu and the delegation also visited the Vice President of the Romanian Academy of Sciences, Prof. Dr. Mircea Dumitru.
Expressing his satisfaction with the visit, Dumitru noted that their cooperation with Trakya University will continue.
Artificial intelligence, digitalization and big data meeting
Trakya University Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan Tabakoğlu attended the “Artificial Intelligence, Digitalization and Big Data” meeting.
According to the statement made by the university, Tabakoğlu attended the meeting held at Yıldız Technical University Otağ-ı Hümayun under the presidency of the President of the Council of Higher Education Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar.
Özvar, who explained that the new departments planned to be opened at the undergraduate level are “Data Science and Analytics” and “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning”, noted that Trakya University is among the universities where undergraduate and associate degree programs will be opened.
