The president condemned the attack
Slovak President Peter Pellegrini described the attack as a real tragedy. “Whatever the attacker’s motive was, he left two dead and another injured in critical condition. No problem in the world can be solved with a knife or any other weapon,” the head of state said on Facebook.
“Calm and cultured resolution of any disputes, without hatred and violence, must be the goal of the entire nation and society. Everyone should contribute to it, so that the atmosphere and the level of interpersonal relations do not create space for violent acts with human victims,” added Pellegrini, who expressed his condolences to the bereaved.
